Sweet or savoury dishes, themed recipes - all self-contained and requiring the minimal of time, effort or involvement on the teacher's part
**I took Food technology and Child Development as my specialised GCSE subjects, which progressed on to an A level equivalent diploma in Childhood Studies. My passion lay in nannying because I was able to work more closely with each child and tailor activities to the interests of each individual.
Children are naturally creative. They are constantly investigating and experimenting in their cognitive development as they build up an understanding of how the world works and cooking brings about so many wonderful skills and opportunities. I love to watch children learn without them realising it!
Children get to learn so many skills through cooking such as problem solving, cause and effect, sequencing, counting, measuring, to name a few - plus they get to have so much fun! Our Cook Stars classes also helps children to build upon other important life skills, such as communication, independence, socialising and self esteem - watching their faces as they marvel at their finished creation is the best feeling!
