We want to help as many children as possible to be able to enjoy our classes and parties. Providing us with full allergy and intolerance information will help us ascertain the severity of the allergies and/or intolerances and ensure the safety of your child in class. We may also arrange to have a chat with you to discuss, in more detail, any answers submitted. Thank you 😊

STATEMENT:
You understand that for your child's safety it is necessary that all information regarding food allergies / intolerances is disclosed to us and not intentionally withheld.

Please note, whilst all staff are first aid trained, we are not medically trained and so are unable to assume responsibility or treat your child should an adverse reaction occur. If there is a risk of adverse reaction we ask you to be present with your child at our sessions / parties.

We will make every attempt to identify ingredients from our planned recipes that may cause allergic reactions for those children with food allergies. All Cook Stars staff who will work with your child will be made aware of food allergies / intolerances.

Where possible, we will endeavor to modify recipes to meet your child's needs to enable your child to take part in our sessions safely. Please note however this may incur an additional charge.

We are unable to assure that allergen-containing ingredients will not be used at our classes by other children. There is therefore always a risk of contamination during preparation, cooking and packaging. We are unable to adapt our classes to fully remove allergens - attending our sessions is therefore at your risk.

Manufactured commercial food that we may use (eg. food provided at parties) may contain allergens and parents need to be aware of the risks. We are able to provide packaging for such products which show a list of contents / allergens. We may ask for parental approval/consent before these are provided to your child to eat. Other children (for example at a party) will be provided with these products to eat and there is therefore the risk of contamination.

We will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items your child may come in contact with whilst cooking at our sessions/parties / workshops.

NB. Please be aware we are unable to accommodate children at our sessions/parties where the severity of their food intolerance / allergy could prove life threatening.
