Cook Stars

I have grown up cooking, my late grandmother, a farmers wife, was an inspiration to me in the kitchen, her mince pies were a legend in our family (homemade mincemeat)

I love cooking and believe that everyone needs to learn to cook, as it is a life skill. I live in a rural part of the country and I am passionate about eating good quality, local and seasonal food. I am currently teaching food and see the joy that the pupils get from their practical lessons and wanted to do something that would allow me to cook more with children.

I have been teaching Food in a secondary school for over 20 years, but prior to this I worked in the hospitality industry.

I love making puddings. I’ve always said if I became a chef I would be a pastry chef. I like to explore new food and visiting my daughter in Bristol gives me the opportunity to try some of the many restaurants with different cultures.

I am excited to bring Cook Stars to Shropshire and look forward to sharing my passion for cooking with future generations.
