Cook Stars

Hello! I’m Emma, and I’m so excited to welcome you to Cook Stars Sheffield North East – where kids can have fun, make friends, and discover the joy of cooking!

Before Cook Stars, I spent 17 wonderful years as a primary school teacher. My absolute favourite subject to teach was food technology – so much so that I wrote the whole school’s food curriculum and loved nothing more than the thrill of classes full of children chopping, mixing, frying and creating! I’ve always believed that cooking is more than just a life skill – it’s a brilliant way for children to build confidence, creativity, and resilience.

My love for the kitchen started early, working in cafes, pubs, and restaurants as a teenager. I grew up in a tiny village in the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by fresh, local ingredients, and that experience sparked a lifelong passion for food that I’m thrilled to share with others.

At Cook Stars, I’m combining my teaching background and love of cooking to create fun, engaging classes where children can learn real kitchen skills, gain independence, and form lasting friendships – all in a stress-free, mess-free environment for parents!

I'm really excited about being able to deliver sessions and workshops for schools and organisations in the community. I look forward to seeing you all in class soon.
