Cook Stars offers structured sessions that centre around children making their own delicious dishes from scratch

Hi, my name is Sara Butler and I loved Cook Stars Newport to Ebbw Vale so much I bought the next door area!

I love sharing my cooking passion with children and seeing them grow in confidence as they learn new skills. Venue classes are great fun and my absolute passion is working with community groups, charities and schools. I love hearing all the stories of the children's confidence and communication skills growing throughout the sessions we run.

I can't wait to talk to you about your school and organisation!

Dear Sara

I would like to share our thanks for the brilliant Cookstars sessions you have facilitated for us at Barnardo's Achieving Change Together Service (ACT).

Our children/young people have learnt valuable life skills during the sessions from the safe use of knives, chopping, weighing, mixing and following recipes. They have understood the importance of personal hygiene whilst cooking and cleaning/tidying up before during and after.

They have had lots of fun tasting ingredients - including a few of whom were adamant they didn't like to try new food but with encouragement they took huge steps and tasted a variety of foods new to them.

One family have sent their thanks and said "Our daughter has the most lovely time at the sessions, she is over the moon that she can attend and we are proud of the progress she has made".
Another family have said "M***** has absolutely loved cooking with Barnardos, it has given her opportunities to socialise with others, thank you so much"

To whom it may concern.
I have worked with Sara for almost a year in my capacity of First Campus Young People officer.
Sara has helped us in our raising aspirations for university amongst young people work. She has provided professional, well organised and fun workshop programmes with young people as they transition from primary to secondary schools together with other work, with care experienced young people. Feedback has been very positive from the young people and seeing her deliver the workshops so flexibly, handling sometimes tricky conversations, I would recommend her to others.
