Cook Stars

My name is Lisa Aune - I am a passionate home-cook and I believe that everyone should have the basic skills to produce tasty and nutritious meals from scratch and that we have a responsibility to pass these skills on to the younger generations.

I am delighted to find that my love of cooking is passing on to my two children. They have both been in the kitchen with me since they were little tots. They can now both cook simple meals for the family and one is becoming a proficient baker, showing far more flair and patience for decorating than me.

Having children means that I'm often found baking for the School PTA or getting to stuck into mass catering for the various Brownie and Scout events. One Christmas I even made and decorated over 200 gingerbread cookies with the children at my daughter's primary school.

Professionally, I have spent the last 20 years working in Jersey's Finance Industry as a chartered accountant and I have been fortunate enough in my career to get travel to places like China, America, Dubai and South Africa - and try the local dishes! At Cook Stars we have a wide range of recipes from all over the world so it's a great opportunity for me to combine all of the things I love most!
