Hello my name is Nicola and I'm thrilled to be bringing Cook Stars' award-winning cookery classes, workshops and parties to St Albans & Harpenden!

Our whole family is crazy about good food; we love to prepare it, and we LOVE to eat it! I've enjoyed cooking and baking for as long as I can remember, baking cakes on my own from the age of 9 or 10. There's nothing I enjoy more than time spent preparing something delicious in the kitchen.

My teenage son (14) shares this love, and from a small child has always enjoyed helping out. His 85-year old Italian grandmother inspires us all, and we love nothing more than a 'lesson' with her in her kitchen, making local Italian dishes and (of course!) pasta. I confess that he's better at making pasta than me!

I've worked in business and marketing for a long time, but a couple of years ago I decided that I wanted to 'do' something in food, and took the plunge to take my Level 2 NVQ in Patisserie and Confectionery at West Herts College. It was a brilliant experience and I met some lovely and inspiring fellow students.

I firmly believe that cooking is a life skill as much as a hobby, and when children are older, they should have the skills to be able to make great tasting and nutritious food for themselves.

This has inspired me to pass on my skills to the younger generation - whether it's little people wowing in mini classes, juniors confidently baking or academy students cooking proudly and independently, Cook Stars St. Albans & Harpenden has a class for all. In addition, look out for our special workshops and holiday events and children's parties!
