I’m married with four children and Doddie the labrador. Food has always been at the centre of my life, from childhood Sundays in rural Aberdeenshire, setting the table for my mum’s wonderful cooking, to creating themed dinners during lockdown that my kids still talk about fondly. Sunday roasts remain a treasured ritual in our house and something I love putting effort into each week.
After 21 years as a stay‑at‑home mum (and a LOT of home cooking), I’m excited to bring Cook Stars to Edinburgh and start a new chapter. With my children now older and heading off to university, it feels like the right time to run my own business. My previous roles with Mars Confectionery, a Hong Kong wine importer, and in communications in the electricity industry have all given me skills I’m looking forward to using again.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll usually find me on a rugby touchline cheering on my sons and then feeding them the mountains of food they need afterwards. My daughter is a percussionist who performs all over the country, and watching her is always a joy. I can’t wait to bring my love of food, family and creativity into Cook Stars classes, workshops and parties.
