My name is Zoe Meadows and I am the proud owner of Cook Stars Doncaster South

I've have been running Cook Stars Doncaster South since October 2022. Before starting this, I worked as a Learning Support Assistant in my local primary school. It was there that I found a love of empowering children to be the best they could and it's what led me to look for a role where I can share my enjoyment of food and creating tasty dishes and seeing the children shine.
I am a big believer in teaching children from an early age to be able to produce even a simple meal and follow recipes. By doing so, they learn skills such as counting, measuring, cause and effect and we are encouraging their cognitive development while getting their thinking, problem solving and creativity flowing. I was drawn to Cook Stars because of the fun, hands on lively approach we take helping children to learn essential life skills.
I have a passion for good, wholesome and tasty food that you can prepare at home. I grew up cooking and baking with my grandma after school, and we always say I got my love of cooking from her. Her butterfly buns were the best! I've now passed on my foodie ways to my daughter. She has grown-up cooking and baking with me in the kitchen (and mess making) and it's paid off because she's amazing at cooking the family lots of tasty dishes. My son isn't as keen in the kitchen, but we encourage him to have a go and you know what, he's quite good too, especially at making brownies. My wonderful husband also enjoys creating meals and he's the best at helping me wash up after classes. It's a real family affair.
As a family, we love to travel and take inspiration from the places we visit. My all time favourite dishes have to be from Greece and I absolutely love watching my fig tree grow and produce super tasty figs each year.
I'd love to welcome your Cook Star to a class soon. We also offer Seasonal workshops and can help you with one-off events and children's parties.
