Hello. My name is Jess and, prior to starting my journey with the cook stars franchise, I was a primary school teacher for 15 years. For 5 years before that I worked in the food and hospitality sector while studying for my degree.

I believe learning to cook is not only an essential life skill in itself, but is a vehicle for so much other learning. In sessions children expand their vocabulary, build fine motor skills, observe how substances combine and change, count, weigh, measure, explore, learn about healthy eating and so much more.

Cooking builds independence, confidence and resilience. It's another opportunity for children to find something in life they really enjoy and are good at. I have 2 young children myself. Eliza 5 and Bertie 3. We love cooking at home and getting them involved in making new food has always helped with encouraging them to try new tastes.

I'd love to help you and your children on their cooking journey with much of the stress removed. Come and spend time together and let me worry about the shopping, the recipes, the equipment, the trouble shooting and the clearing away afterwards.

I can't wait to meet you and your children and I look forward to welcoming you all into one of the many classes, parties and workshops soon. 🥰
