I'm a Mum of 3 girls, Daniela 25, Emily 24 and Charlotte 18 and our beloved Cavapoo, Louie! I also have a partner, Antony who was my first love when I was 14 for 4 years and we got back together 2 years ago!
At school and throughout my life my strengths and natural ability were always down the creative path, I studied Art & Design and gained a HND in Graphic Design.
In 2011 I got divorced and had the opportunity to go back to college and study something new. I decided on Professional Chef as I was so passionate about cooking for others and loved the creative side of it! I'd been through a really tough few years and wanted something for myself and to be a good role model for my girls and this was my opportunity! I absolutely loved it, it changed my life and gave me confidence and a fire in my belly!
I have done some extra courses over the years for pleasure, such as a Chocolate course at Slattery's in Manchester and I spent a weekend at Rosemary Shrager's cookery school, which has got to be one of the highlights of my life!
My favourite food to eat is Italian, mainly pasta and Antony’s family are Italian, which is great! My other favourite is Thai. I eat most things and my roots are Irish so have a few Family recipes from there as well.
My earliest memory of cooking is my "Ladybird Cooking with Mother" book which featured many classic 70’s recipes such as cornflake cakes and a cheese and pickle hedgehog! I’ve still got it, it was my first cookbook. I think I will take it to my classes to show the children what food was like back in my day!
I'll finish by saying I’ve found Cook Stars at the perfect time in my life. I have been a cook in a High school for the last 9 years as I wanted a job to fit in with bringing up my girls but now they are all growing up and following their own paths, so and I'm ready for a new challenge.

Our pre-school classes are designed with our littlest chefs in mind. With a little helping hand from you, each week we make recipes which encourage children to get stuck in! We provide everything you will need so you can just turn up with your child ready to have some cooking fun together. Find out more

Cook Stars Juniors
Our classes are very hands-on with everyone making their own dish from scratch!
Every week we make something different with inspiration taken from dishes around the world. With a selection of gorgeous sweet and savoury dishes each week there is plenty of opportunity to learn about different ingredients. With such a variety of dishes we try plenty of different preparation techniques....from icing to dicing we do it all! Find out more

Academy Classes
Cook Stars Academy Classes are suitable for young learners and teens aged 11-17 years old.
Our hands on practical classes teach a variety of techniques and build confidence in the kitchen week on week. Every week we cook something different with a mixture of main courses and puddings. We cook a great variety of foods, for example Indian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Mexican dishes as well as pies, cakes and puddings. Find out more
